The more you take part in our events and activities, the more you will appreciate what makes The Nora School so distinctive. Glance at our campus calendar and you’ll discover that Nora is a place filled with opportunities. Our events attract Nora students, faculty, parents, and friends. Some are open to the entire Washington, DC community.
The Nora School Parent Education Series, for example, typically offers several talks throughout the academic year on timely topics, and our evening Mindfulness Program allows parents to share in what our students are learning. The annual Photography Festival invites submissions on a set theme for students in grades six through twelve. A panel of professional photographers judges submissions, and the competition culminates in an exhibition and reception at the school. A real favorite since it started in 2000, the Nora Poetry Reading Series features emerging and established poets reading their own works. For events outside of Nora, peruse our Resources page, a listing of local speakers, conferences and workshops that may be of interest to our parents and community.
We hope you’ll join us at Nora for any and all of these events.
