A Message From the Readings Coordinator
After sixteen wonderful seasons, the Nora School Poetry & Literary Series has come to its end.
Since January 2001 the Nora School has hosted over 80 readings with more than 200 writers, both students and professionals. We’ve held events combining poetry with art and with music. We’ve presented original one-act plays. We’ve welcomed Pulitzer Prize-winners along with new poets reading their work in public for the first time. But the truth is that 2001 is a long time ago now, and it’s time for me to move on.
I wish to thank each and every writer who has participated in the series over the years. But most of all I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has ever attended a Nora School poetry event. Your support for the poets of the D.C. region means more than you know.
